💗 Supporting Local Women Through The Pink Lady Foundation 💗
We are excited to introduce our TLC families to The Pink Lady Foundation of Volusia County, a brand-new local nonprofit with a very special connection to our school family.
The foundation was started by three local moms — two of whom are TLC moms — after all three were diagnosed with breast cancer within just months of one another last year. Through their own experiences, they saw firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate a breast cancer diagnosis while still raising children, working, caring for a home, and trying to maintain some sense of normalcy for their families.
That experience inspired them to create The Pink Lady Foundation of Volusia County, with the goal of supporting local women facing breast cancer and helping ease some of the everyday burdens that often come along with diagnosis and treatment. Whether through practical assistance, resources, encouragement, or simply reminding a woman that she has a community standing behind her, their mission is to keep the support they raise right here in our local community. 💕
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, TLC Kids Care will be making a donation to The Pink Lady Foundation and collecting donations throughout the entire month of October. 🎀
At the end of the month, we will proudly present all funds raised to The Pink Lady Foundation on Friday, October 23rd!
We would love for our TLC families to join us in supporting this incredible organization and the local women and families it serves. No amount is too small, and every contribution is another reminder that these women have a community standing behind them. 💗
